HR Generalist

Responsibilities:
- Lead the onboarding process to create a positive experience for new employees.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR-related inquiries and issues.
- Manage employee relations matters, ensuring a fair and supportive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including FMLA and OSHA requirements.
- Administer HR programs, including benefits, leaves, and performance management.
- Maintain accurate employee data within HR systems and produce detailed reports.
- Support payroll operations and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Review and update HR policies to align with organizational objectives and legal standards.
- Participate in strategy discussions to support HR process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certifications preferred).
- 2–5 years of HR experience, with expertise in employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
- Proven experience working with unionized workforces.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HRIS systems (Paycom experience is a plus).
- Ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
